Tsvetelina Spiridonova

“I believe that everyone has a mission in this world. I know that my mission is to be an artist and a good parent, and I follow it. I love the emotional and spiritual aspects of the process – to capture inspiration before it vanishes and to develop it.

In graphic art, you must have great patience, and if you don’t, you learn it. I went through all that and have now developed my own techniques using traditional graphic processes and monotype – combining them with drypoint, etching, relief prints, mezzotint, and others. I’m always curious about the result, which always surprises me!

Sometimes my monotypes look like oil paintings. I love the subtlety of colors. It’s truly magical to work with different layers – the color becomes richer and richer. I am inspired by nature. I observe the movement of birds, grasses, and horses. I feel a deep connection to the natural way of life.”
